Basics of PVP
BASICS OF PVP
PVP allows for up to 5 NFTs from Gnome or Complex Series to be placed into your lineup. This allows for various opponents to be matched up with you. Different levels in your lineup separated by a few levels each increases your chances of finding different opponents and being attacked by different opponents also. Rarity, Mint Number, Health, Stats, and more all play a role in the algorithm. Which you can find the algorithm in our PVP Calculation article.
HOW CAN I EARN BONUSES IN PVP?
Portraits and Complex Series Story NFT’s when staked in GNO City will earn 5% more XP in PVP and is stackable. Ex. If you earn 50 XP from a match and you stake 10 Portraits or Story NFTs you will receive a bonus 50% XP from the 10 NFTs x 5% giving you a total of 75XP for that single match instead. There is no cap to how many can be staked.

STARTING A BATTLE & RESULTS
To start a battle you will stay in the PVP window Tab of dashboard. Below where you changed your lineup above is a Green Start Matchmaking tile.
Press the tile, wait for about a 10 second countdown timer and the results should populate your victory or defeat. If you are victorious you will be awarded various amounts of experience that will be allocated into an individual stat of the computer’s choosing. If you should be defeated your character will then lose a certain amount of health also dictated by the computer.
WHY DOES IT COST RAM TO BATTLE?
Data is being stored onto the blockchain for validation. You’ll get some RAM back once we truncate the logs (at the moment we truncate 15 logs every 10 minutes). Once we remove the log automatically with our cron you will have the RAM returned to your account.
